The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yestin Keep hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Aberystwyth FC's Dillan Kendrick tried to score from far away in the 3rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Aberystwyth FC's Ifor Gorman got control of the ball when Dyvyr Factor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ifor Gorman made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Dyvyr Factor sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, UWA Carmarthen's Dyvyr Factor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ifor Gorman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cadell Eckles struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Anwas Foster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aberystwyth FC. 20 minutes into the match, Aberystwyth FC's Digon Davies sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anwas Foster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Digon Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aberystwyth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Digon Davies was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anwas Foster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cadell Eckles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cadell Eckles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Anwas Foster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Aberystwyth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gruddyeu Ing came free, but Ifor Gorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of UWA Carmarthen booed when Aberystwyth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gowther Cash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ifor Gorman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urien Frisby went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gruddyeu Ing to make the kick off. Digon Daviess short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Anwas Foster to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dyvyr Factor in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ifor Gorman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Digon Davies struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Anwas Foster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aberystwyth FC. Ifor Gorman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gruddyeu Ing's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Ifor Gorman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dyvyr Factor, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Gowther Cash recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Cadell Eckles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aberystwyth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cadell Eckles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anwas Foster breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cadell Eckles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Aberystwyth FC got a freekick which was hit by Cadoc Coonan.
