Amaethon Ironside was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. UWA Caerleon's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Bogart Finkley did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Iddawg Glidden 34 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, UWA Caerleon's Bogart Finkley ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iddawg Glidden. Iddawg Glidden yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 45 minutes, Amerawdwr Adrain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Caerleon and the Aberystwyth players grew even worse after the yellow card. UWA Caerleon's Ysgawyn Hoague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sayer Hooker in the 46th minute of play. When Amerawdwr Adrain was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 47 minutes had been played. Sayer Hooker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ysgawyn Hoague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amaethon Ironside made a kick off. Ysgawyn Hoague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sayer Hooker in the 60th minute of play. Arglwydd Forbes struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Iddawg Glidden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Caerleon. Amaethon Ironside sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, UWA Caerleon's Ysgawyn Hoague got control of the ball when Nynnyaw Eddington tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amaethon Ironside fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iddawg Glidden having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, UWA Caerleon's goal looked a bit too open when Sayer Hooker came free, but Ysgawyn Hoague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwyglet Joel hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute Sayer Hooker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysgawyn Hoague saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sayer Hooker succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 89th playminute. Ysgawyn Hoague showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sayer Hooker, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. UWA Caerleon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
