Powell Kerswell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Powell Kerswell made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Amaethon Ironside sent off a good shot on target. In the 41stth minute of the game Bogart Finkley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Talgarth's Powell Kerswell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mercher Bates in the 45th minute of play forced UWA Caerleon's goalkeeper Ysgawyn Hoague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
