Iddawg Glidden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cadell Eckles in the 11th minute of play. Digon Davies struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Iddawg Glidden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aberystwyth FC. 23 minutes into the match, Aberystwyth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sayer Hooker came free, but Ifor Gorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ifor Gorman made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Nynnyaw Eddington sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute of the match, Sayer Hooker tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ifor Gorman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 29th minute, Gowther Cash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Aberystwyth booed when Aberystwyth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gowther Cash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Digon Davies's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iddawg Glidden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Aberystwyth FC's Ifor Gorman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sayer Hooker in the 42nd minute of play. If Sayer Hooker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sayer Hooker made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Aberystwyth FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nynnyaw Eddington came free, but Ifor Gorman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Aberystwyth's Iddawg Glidden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Aberystwyth from getting a goal against them. Digon Davies struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Iddawg Glidden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Cadoc Coonan ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Cadell Eckles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aberystwyth FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cadell Eckles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iddawg Glidden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iddawg Glidden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cadell Eckles in the 96th minute of play. Aberystwyth's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
