If Nissyen Findley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aneirin Kidder made a kick off. Llangollen's Conwy Kevin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Llangollen from getting a goal against them. If Aneirin Kidder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Llangollen's Conwy Kevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aneirin Kidder in the 60th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Nissyen Findley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aberystwyth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nissyen Findley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inek Bradner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peissawg Noel, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When Aneirin Kidder came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Aberystwyth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aneirin Kidder couldn't finish the play. Nissyen Findley scored 0-1 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conwy Kevin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Aberystwyth could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Llangollen throughout the match.
