Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Caledvwich Burrows started the match with the kick off. 10 minutes into the match, Knighton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Caledvwich Burrows came free, but Fercos Finnegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Talgarth's goalkeeper Arawn Hibberd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baudwin Avery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 minutes, Drwst Hellier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Knighton FC and the Talgarth players grew even worse after the yellow card. Drwst Hellier kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Talgarth's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Berwyn Gilbert 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 29th minute Berwyn Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arawn Hibberd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berwyn Gilbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Arawn Hibberd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baudwin Avery got free with Arawn Hibberd in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Knighton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rhyawdd Dancy came free, but Fercos Finnegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talgarth's Caledvwich Burrows got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fercos Finnegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caledvwich Burrows in the 43rd minute of play. Arawn Hibberd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berwyn Gilbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Knighton FC's Berwyn Gilbert in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Talgarth's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berwyn Gilbert to make the kick off. Baudwin Avery hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. The supporters of Talgarth booed when Knighton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rhychdir Collingsworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caledvwich Burrows sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Caledvwich Burrows's late challenge caught a Knighton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caledvwich Burrows helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Talgarth's Caledvwich Burrows got a free kick in the 54th minute. After 56 played minutes Caledvwich Burrows rounded Knighton FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Fercos Finnegan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caledvwich Burrows's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Berwyn Gilbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arawn Hibberd. Talgarth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berwyn Gilbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Rhisiart Cottle hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Baudwin Avery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arawn Hibberd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berwyn Gilbert in the 71st minute of play forced Talgarth's goalkeeper Arawn Hibberd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caerwyn Dean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fercos Finnegan having to interfere. Caerwyn Dean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Fercos Finnegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Talgarth players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Knighton FC.
