With an extended leg and a bit of luck Siawn Guthrie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Llwyr Alvey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Llwydeu Driscoll went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Red Boys's Siawn Guthrie got control of the ball when Cadarn Gillock tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Boys's goalkeeper Siawn Guthrie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, UWA Llangollen's goal looked a bit too open when Llwydeu Driscoll came free, but Llwyr Alvey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 51 played minutes Red Boys got a freekick which was hit by Llwydeu Driscoll. UWA Llangollen's Cadarn Gillock got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Red Boys's Siawn Guthrie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cadarn Gillock in the 57th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Arthur Holden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Boys and the UWA Llangollen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Arthur Holden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UWA Llangollen's Cadarn Gillock got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute Llwydeu Driscoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llwyr Alvey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Bors Freelove had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Meurig Hobson charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Meurig Hobson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, UWA Llangollen's Meurig Hobson got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the match, UWA Llangollen's goalkeeper Llwyr Alvey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Collen Bingley. After having played for 77 minutes, Collen Bingley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Collen Bingley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Drystan Burdick got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eudav Gilroy kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Cadarn Gillock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siawn Guthrie having to interfere. Llwyr Alvey made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Collen Bingley sent off a good shot on target. Siawn Guthrie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cadarn Gillock, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Collen Bingley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Llwyr Alvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Red Boys had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
