Spectators: 6770 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1770, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sel Gay made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Parry Cole got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tristan Hyslop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gandwy Brook in the 4th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Myrddin Lovat made a precise shot to the right of Dinadan Eckles. Maesteg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gandwy Brook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinadan Eckles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Myrddin Lovat in the 23rd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Gandwy Brook had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tristan Hyslop. UWA Penarth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gandwy Brook was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Parry Cole in the 30th minute of play forced UWA Penarth's goalkeeper Tristan Hyslop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedr Inger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristan Hyslop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gandwy Brook in the 36th minute of play. If Parry Cole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristram Bellew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maesteg's Parry Cole got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes of play, Maesteg's Gandwy Brook made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tristan Hyslop was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Maesteg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Parry Cole to make the kick off. Sel Gay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Dinadan Eckles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Myrddin Lovat in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinadan Eckles saved Maesteg from getting behind. When Maesteg's Parry Cole in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Penarth's goalie prevented a goal. If Gandwy Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maesteg's Parry Cole managed to work through UWA Penarth's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Parry Cole dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Parry Cole might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tristan Hyslop. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Parry Cole ran back to his position shaking his head. Tristan Hyslop made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gandwy Brook in the 68th minute. Gandwy Brook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tristan Hyslop having to interfere. Amaethon Flattery kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Sel Gay hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Tristan Hyslop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parry Cole in the 84th minute of play. If Sel Gay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sel Gay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes of play, UWA Penarth's Sel Gay made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinadan Eckles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maesteg were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
