Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lovel Hodge started the match with the kick off. Berwyn Gilbert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garym Cleghorn having to interfere. Knighton FC's Fercos Finnegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selyf Dulleran in the 15th minute of play. Fercos Finnegan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lovel Hodge, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute, Lovel Hodge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Selyf Dulleran came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Denbigh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Selyf Dulleran couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Denbigh's zone, Baudwin Avery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garym Cleghorn came out of the goal and Baudwin Avery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berwyn Gilbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Llwyd Hassett kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Baudwin Avery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knighton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baudwin Avery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Selyf Dulleran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Berwyn Gilbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Garym Cleghorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cadarn Ferriter charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cadarn Ferriter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Selyf Dulleran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fercos Finnegan having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berwyn Gilbert to make the kick off. Fercos Finnegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lovel Hodge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steffan Coppinger during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fercos Finnegan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Selyf Dulleran in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Berwyn Gilbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garym Cleghorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Knighton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gleis Bedford to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes Knighton FC got a freekick which was hit by Rhisiart Cottle. Selyf Dulleran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Fercos Finnegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Selyf Dulleran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fercos Finnegan having to make a save. Lovel Hodge was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Denbigh's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 94 minutes, Baudwin Avery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knighton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baudwin Avery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fercos Finnegan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lovel Hodge went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Denbigh had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
