Spectators: 6785 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) When Cas Doney came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the UWA Barry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cas Doney couldn't finish the play. In the 11th minute Maesteg were awarded a corner. Galahad Farran went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Maesteg's Jones Hanson getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Mil Gwinn came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Maesteg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mil Gwinn couldn't finish the play. Gwythyr Covell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Maesteg's Llyn Joel got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rhuvawn Lederer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwythyr Covell, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Gwythyr Covell came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the UWA Barry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gwythyr Covell couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute Gwythyr Covell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhuvawn Lederer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cas Doney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rhuvawn Lederer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cas Doney in the 42nd minute of play forced Maesteg's goalkeeper Rhuvawn Lederer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Griffin Fitzroy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iolo Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, Maesteg's goal looked a bit too open when Cas Doney came free, but Rhuvawn Lederer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Griffith Cox to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gwythyr Covell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Hywel Boggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iolo Bailey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Griffin Fitzroy having to make a save. Griffin Fitzroy came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Maesteg's Griffith Cox. But to his dismay, Griffith Cox quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mil Gwinn in the 73rd minute of play forced UWA Barry's goalkeeper Griffin Fitzroy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhuvawn Lederer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwythyr Covell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd match minute, Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Galahad Farran to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 86 minutes, Mil Gwinn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maesteg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mil Gwinn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
