UWA Barry's Gwythyr Covell got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cas Doneys short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Caradawg Gilboy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. UWA Bridgend's Casnar Ingersoll got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Caradawg Gilboy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwythyr Covell in the 36th minute of play. If Cas Doney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cas Doney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Caradawg Gilboy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Bridgend's goalkeeper Caradawg Gilboy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casnar Ingersoll was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, UWA Barry's Tristram Crossman made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cas Doney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that UWA Barry were the better team. UWA Barry's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
