Kai Burchett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kynan Freelove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kynan Freelove struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Kai Burchett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardiff. Penarth's Kai Burchett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kynan Freelove in the 23rd minute of play. Kai Burchett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kynan Freelove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kynan Freelove recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gwalhaved Gately had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Collen Huddleston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Kai Burchett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwalhaved Gately fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heulyn Chadwick having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Tristan Dacre managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kynan Freelove to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Penarth's Tremayne Denton got a free kick in the 58th minute. Tremayne Denton's late challenge caught a Cardiff's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tremayne Denton helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Penarth got a freekick which was hit by Tremayne Denton. Collen Huddleston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kai Burchett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rhys Davies in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heulyn Chadwick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Collen Huddleston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Kai Burchett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kynan Freelove in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kai Burchett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kai Burchett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kynan Freelove's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Heulyn Chadwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwalhaved Gately, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 92nd minute, Penarth's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Collen Huddleston fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Kai Burchett successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
