Cardiff's Heulyn Chadwick proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Cardiff from getting a goal against them. In the 16th play minute Kenn Godwin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Heulyn Chadwick. 1-1. Cadfael Hoole charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cadfael Hoole the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Collen Huddleston came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Cardiff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Collen Huddleston couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the game, Gwawl Caudle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Swansea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardiff the free kick. Gwawl Caudle hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Swansea FC's Iustig Gates got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Kynan Freelove came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Cardiff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kynan Freelove couldn't finish the play. After 35 played minutes Swansea FC got a freekick which was hit by Cai Gilliam. If Kenn Godwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenn Godwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Howell Flannelly made the kick off in the second half. The Swansea FC fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Swansea FC's Howell Flannelly looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Howell Flannelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kenn Godwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Heulyn Chadwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Swansea FC's goalkeeper Berth Campbell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Collen Huddleston. Howell Flannelly hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Kenn Godwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Greidyawl Creedan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Howell Flannelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heulyn Chadwick having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Swansea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kynan Freelove came free, but Berth Campbell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
