The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Culhwch Victualer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cadyryeith Holster in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olwydd Hodgson in the 7th minute of play forced UWA Llangollen's goalkeeper Tarrant Hodson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Llandysul Utd's goalkeeper Culhwch Victualer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cadyryeith Holster. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olwydd Hodgson in the 12th minute of play forced UWA Llangollen's goalkeeper Tarrant Hodson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Cadyryeith Holster in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, Llandysul Utd's Gwyn Brien got a free kick in the 21st minute. UWA Llangollen's Llyr Currier got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cadyryeith Holster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Llyr Currier took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Culhwch Victualer to make any attempt to save it. 1-1 became the score in the 30th minute when Olwydd Hodgson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the game, Garnock Black was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Llangollen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Llandysul Utd the free kick. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Llandysul Utd. Parry Gillam stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Tarrant Hodson. 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Llandysul Utd's zone, Cadyryeith Holster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Culhwch Victualer came out of the goal and Cadyryeith Holster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Llyr Currier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Culhwch Victualer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olwydd Hodgson in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarrant Hodson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Culhwch Victualer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Llyr Currier, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Cadyryeith Holster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Culhwch Victualer having to interfere. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Llandysul Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Idris Coogan was slow to take the kick. During this time UWA Llangollen's players had a chance to rest. Olwydd Hodgson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Eudav Joseph fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tarrant Hodson, passed just outside the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Cadyryeith Holster managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Llangollen's supporters rose to their feet, but Cadyryeith Holster was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Culhwch Victualer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute, Erbin Donovan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cadyryeith Holster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Llandysul Utd booed when UWA Llangollen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renfrew Keefe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eudav Joseph's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Tarrant Hodson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 90th minute, Olwydd Hodgson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Llandysul Utd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
