With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rhys Doyle in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bwlch Keelan saved Newport Carpenters FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lovel Cock in the 13th minute of play forced Aberystwyth's goalkeeper Davis Blackadder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caerwyn Collis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davis Blackadder having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Aberystwyth's Yestin Dempsey got a free kick in the 20th minute. Aberystwyth's Davis Blackadder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lovel Cock in the 22nd minute of play. Dywel Higgler kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Maxen Bethel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Newport Carpenters FC's Bwlch Keelan. Bwlch Keelan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bwlch Keelan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Doyle in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Newport Carpenters FC got a freekick which was hit by Neb Driscoll. After 35 played minutes Newport Carpenters FC got a freekick which was hit by Goreu Lazar. In the 36th minute of the match Garselid Greenham shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bwlch Keelan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Maxen Bethel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aberystwyth's supporters rose to their feet, but Maxen Bethel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bwlch Keelan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute Rhys Doyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bwlch Keelan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a rather tough play, Aberystwyth's Rhys Doyle got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 52ndth minute of the game Caerwyn Collis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aberystwyth's Davis Blackadder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute of the match, Maxen Bethel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bwlch Keelan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Newport Carpenters FC's Bwlch Keelan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxen Bethel in the 55th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Maxen Bethel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bwlch Keelan. That made the score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. If Caerwyn Collis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhys Doyle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Bwlch Keelan made a huge save. Davis Blackadder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caerwyn Collis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bwlch Keelan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxen Bethel, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Lovel Cock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aberystwyth's Davis Blackadder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lovel Cock in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Newport Carpenters FC's goalkeeper Bwlch Keelan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rhys Doyle. In the 73rd match minute, Newport Carpenters FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Powell Roper to maneuver through the defense. Rhys Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Bwlch Keelan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Davis Blackadder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lovel Cock in the 76th minute of the match. When Lovel Cock came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Newport Carpenters FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lovel Cock couldn't finish the play. The Newport Carpenters FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aberystwyth's performance. The match ended with a win for Aberystwyth.
