Ol Farthing struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Inek Halliday didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newtown. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myrddin Lindsey in the 7th minute of play forced Rhonnda's goalkeeper Inek Halliday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newtown's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mael Hansford in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Brys Lodder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inek Halliday was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. When Ol Farthing came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Newtown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ol Farthing couldn't finish the play. Rhonnda's Inek Halliday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brys Lodder in the 29th minute of play. Inek Halliday was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Brys Lodder showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 34 minute of play. Ol Farthing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Inek Halliday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brys Lodder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Brys Lodder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inek Halliday having to interfere. Pembroke Kimball fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berth Keene having to interfere. Newtown's Berth Keene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selyf Ing in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rhonnda's Griffin Cannon got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Brys Lodder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inek Halliday was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Pembroke Kimball recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rhonnda booed when Newtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Padrig Felt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ol Farthing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inek Halliday having to interfere. Inek Halliday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ol Farthing in the 96th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selyf Ing in the 98th minute of play forced Newtown's goalkeeper Berth Keene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newtown were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
