Brad Burgonmaster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renfrew Dacre went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Mabon Gay managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Bridgend's Pellyn Flaherty fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pellyn Flaherty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 12 minutes into the match, UWA Talgarth's goalkeeper Mabon Gay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pellyn Flaherty. In the 16th minute Renfrew Dacre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brad Burgonmaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Bridgend getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Pembroke Wainwright hit a great ball. If Pwyll Henn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mabon Gay came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Bridgend's Pellyn Flaherty. But to his dismay, Pellyn Flaherty quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The supporters of UWA Talgarth booed when Bridgend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pyrs Hetherington didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renfrew Dacre to make the kick off. If Aedd Gladwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes, Pyrs Hetherington mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bridgend and the UWA Talgarth players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bridgend getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Pyrs Hetherington hit a great ball. If Renfrew Dacre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Burgonmaster stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renfrew Dacre's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 58 played minutes Bridgend got a freekick which was hit by Maelwys Bunch. Pellyn Flaherty took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mabon Gay. Mabon Gay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Aedd Gladwin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pellyn Flaherty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bridgend's Aedd Gladwin in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Talgarth's goalie prevented a goal. Renfrew Dacre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brad Burgonmaster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bridgend's Pyrs Hetherington got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Pellyn Flaherty struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Mabon Gay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bridgend. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bridgend had played much better football throughout.
