Barry FC's Reese Cochrane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Barry FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Bridgend's zone, Kenyon Head stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mabon Jolson came out of the goal and Kenyon Head tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Myrddin Beers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Reese Cochrane skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Myrddin Beers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavaine Goodman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myrddin Beers might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reese Cochrane. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Myrddin Beers ran back to his position shaking his head. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gwawl Findley was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Barry FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Anwell Hughes hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Myrddin Beers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reese Cochrane. Barry FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Myrddin Beers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Myrddin Beers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Iestyn Cosgrave fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barry FC's protests and gave Iestyn Cosgrave a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes Barry FC got a freekick which was hit by Iestyn Cosgrave. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barry FC's goalkeeper Reese Cochrane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes into the game, Lavaine Goodman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Reese Cochrane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 78 minutes into the match, Barry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lavaine Goodman came free, but Reese Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Seith Lardner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Lavaine Goodman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reese Cochrane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Myrddin Beers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lavaine Goodman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barry FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UWA Bridgend.
