UWA Llangollen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rhyl the free kick. A collision led to UWA Llangollen getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Corryn Long hit a great ball. With a little luck, UWA Llangollen's Parry Crossman got control of the ball when Siawn Dacre tried to sneak it across the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Rhyl's goal looked a bit too open when Emrys Hatton came free, but Drystan Haydon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Parry Crossman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trahern Fowler's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Drystan Haydon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emrys Hatton, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Cerdic Cannon fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Llangollen's protests and gave Cerdic Cannon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Cerdic Cannon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Trahern Fowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Drystan Haydon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Boryla in the 35th minute of the match. Drystan Haydon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emrys Hatton's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emrys Hatton made a kick off. If Emrys Hatton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The Rhyl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Kai Blacksmith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, UWA Llangollen's Corryn Long got a free kick in the 71st minute. If Siawn Dacre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emrys Hatton in the 82nd minute of play forced Rhyl's goalkeeper Drystan Haydon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Emrys Hatton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Drystan Haydon. That made the score 1-2 in the 84 minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Emrys Hatton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rhyl's Drystan Haydon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
