A collision led to Caerleon Utd getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Gilbert Crosby hit a great ball. Reese Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edern Gearan in the 5th minute of the match. Iowerth Caudle took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reese Cochrane. Reese Cochrane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Caerleon Utd booed when Barry FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taffy Herbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edern Gearan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reese Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 18 minutes, Kenyon Head managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barry FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kenyon Head was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gwawl Findley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rdth minute of the game Iowerth Caudle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barry FC's Reese Cochrane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenyon Head succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 29th playminute. After some careless play in the Barry FC defense, Iowerth Caudle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reese Cochrane. The Barry FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reese Cochrane should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Barry FC's zone, Gilbert Crosby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reese Cochrane came out of the goal and Gilbert Crosby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iowerth Caudle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reese Cochrane having to make a save. 48 minutes into the match, Barry FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edern Gearan came free, but Reese Cochrane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gwawl Findley made the kick off in the second half. Sinnoch Ashley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwawl Findley in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the match, Caerleon Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Kenyon Head came free, but Sinnoch Ashley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ifor Farr fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caerleon Utd's protests and gave Ifor Farr a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Caerleon Utd's Ifor Farr got a free kick in the 57th minute. Iowerth Caudle's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Reese Cochrane firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 73rdth minute of the game Edern Gearan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barry FC's Reese Cochrane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Edern Gearan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Reese Cochrane, 1-3. Gwawl Findley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Gwawl Findley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barry FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Caerleon Utd had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
