With his leg Parry Crossman managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Montgomery Utd's Nynnyaw Hanauer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Boryla in the 14th minute of play forced Montgomery Utd's goalkeeper Gwallter Puddler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Andreas Boryla came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the UWA Llangollen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Boryla couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Montgomery Utd's zone, Andreas Boryla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwallter Puddler came out of the goal and Andreas Boryla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gwallter Puddler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emrys Hatton in the 24th minute of play. When Montgomery Utd's Kynlas Follet in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UWA Llangollen's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Kynlas Follet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montgomery Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Kynlas Follet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Parry Crossman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nynnyaw Hanauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parry Crossman having to interfere. Emrys Hatton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Montgomery Utd's zone, Andreas Boryla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwallter Puddler came out of the goal and Andreas Boryla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Emrys Hatton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Llangollen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emrys Hatton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kynlas Follet was the one to do the kick off. Kynlas Follet struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Parry Crossman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montgomery Utd. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celyn Harper during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Celyn Harper kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Andreas Boryla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute Kynlas Follet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Parry Crossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Montgomery Utd's Gwallter Puddler got control of the ball when Andreas Boryla tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Montgomery Utd's goalkeeper Gwallter Puddler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Boryla. Corryn Long's late challenge caught a Montgomery Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Corryn Long helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, UWA Llangollen's Corryn Long got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute Kynlas Follet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Parry Crossman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 95th minute, Renfrew Canning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UWA Llangollen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
