An unexpectedly hard shot by Trahern Fowler in the 40th minute of play forced Llandysul's goalkeeper Edern Denny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edern Denny stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trahern Fowler's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Llandysul getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Garym Hugh hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Peredur Longshoreman to strike the kick off in the second half. Lug French kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Trahern Fowler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rhyl's supporters rose to their feet, but Trahern Fowler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edern Denny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Siawn Dacre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edern Denny having to interfere. Kai Blacksmith's late challenge caught a Llandysul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kai Blacksmith helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rhyl getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kai Blacksmith hit a great ball. In the 90th match minute, Rhyl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arawn Essig to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rhyl's zone, Cubert Covell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Drystan Haydon came out of the goal and Cubert Covell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute Peredur Longshoreman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drystan Haydon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cubert Covell got free with Drystan Haydon in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trahern Fowler struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Edern Denny didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rhyl. Llandysul's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
