In the 25th minute, Drwst Luce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nodens Dutton's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Malvern Conlan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Malvern Conlan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Drwst Luce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nodens Dutton struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. UWA Ely's Brice Copp got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute, Anwell Griffith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brice Copp's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Dewey Lynn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The UWA Ely players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
