Druce Brin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Kent Atkinson made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Talgarth's Gwyneira Faherty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Atkinson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Talgarth's goal looked a bit too open when Cerwyn Hubbard came free, but Ermid Hawley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Talgarth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pennar Kellock to maneuver through the defense. Cerwyn Hubbard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Druce Brin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Druce Brin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Kent Atkinson made a huge save. Carnedyr Lane hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Mabsant Howell took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ermid Hawley. Ermid Hawley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Talgarth booed when Wrexham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baddon Atkinson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gwyneira Faherty stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ermid Hawley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cerwyn Hubbard, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Cerwyn Hubbard made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Talgarth's Ermid Hawley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kent Atkinson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwyneira Faherty in the 69th minute of play. Mabsant Howell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermid Hawley having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Gwyneira Faherty who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wrexham FC's Kent Atkinson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Druce Brin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent Atkinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Druce Brin, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Gwyneira Faherty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Atkinson having to interfere. Cerwyn Hubbard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Talgarth supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wrexham FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Wrexham FC.
