Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nerth Chase started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Beaumaris's goalkeeper Melkin Dunn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, UWA Beaumaris's Siam Dowthwaite got a free kick in the 11th minute. A collision led to UWA Beaumaris getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Garnock Cockane hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Cadwaladr Kern managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maesteg FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cadwaladr Kern was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melkin Dunn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maesteg FC's goalkeeper Angawdd Hewitt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Maesteg FC got a freekick which was hit by Owein Catton. The crowd rose to their feet as UWA Beaumaris's Nerth Chase slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angawdd Hewitt. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. If Nerth Chase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cadwaladr Kern's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melkin Dunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Nerth Chase received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Angawdd Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Maesteg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nerth Chase came free, but Angawdd Hewitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nerth Chase received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angawdd Hewitt came out and tried to block the shot, but Nerth Chase slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Collen Hernon in the 41st minute of play forced UWA Beaumaris's goalkeeper Melkin Dunn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Maesteg FC's Angawdd Hewitt got control of the ball when Brys Lindley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siam Dowthwaite during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, UWA Beaumaris's Siam Dowthwaite got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Collen Hernon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nerth Chase sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UWA Beaumaris's Melkin Dunn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save UWA Beaumaris from getting a goal against them. Melkin Dunn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Collen Hernon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garnock Cockane hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Cadwaladr Kern recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brys Lindley in the 63rd minute of play forced Maesteg FC's goalkeeper Angawdd Hewitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tudur Herring kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Collen Hernon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Melkin Dunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kian Brewer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angawdd Hewitt having to interfere. Melkin Dunn made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cadwaladr Kern sent off a good shot on target. Cadwaladr Kern received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Melkin Dunn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UWA Beaumaris's Brys Lindley got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nerth Chase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brys Lindley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angawdd Hewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brys Lindley in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The UWA Beaumaris fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maesteg FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
