In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind UWA Beaumaris's goalkeeper Melkin Dunn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 85 minutes of play, UWA Flint's Teregud Langworthy made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
