Mostyn Bullock didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cas Hartcliff in the 5th minute of play forced Maesteg FC's goalkeeper Angawdd Hewitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, MagnaFlow Team's Cynan Kilkelly got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 10 minutes of play, Maesteg FC's Collen Hernon made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tarrant Henley was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the match, Maesteg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cas Hartcliff came free, but Angawdd Hewitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17thth minute of the game Collen Hernon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MagnaFlow Team's Tarrant Henley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Collen Hernon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tarrant Henley. MagnaFlow Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Collen Hernon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 26 minutes into the game, Maesteg FC's Cadwaladr Kern nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tarrant Henley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Tudur Herring hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Heddwyn Hooper came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the MagnaFlow Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heddwyn Hooper couldn't finish the play. Cas Hartcliff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Angawdd Hewitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cerdic Deacon got free with Angawdd Hewitt in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Cadwaladr Kern got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angawdd Hewitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cas Hartcliff in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

After a rather tough play, MagnaFlow Team's Digon Flanders got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Cadwaladr Kern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarrant Henley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd minute, Mostyn Bullock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tarrant Henley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Collen Hernon in the 54th minute of play. After 57 played minutes MagnaFlow Team got a freekick which was hit by Heddwyn Hooper. Cadwaladr Kerns short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Tarrant Henley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Cynan Kilkelly took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Angawdd Hewitt. Maesteg FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angawdd Hewitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cerdic Deacon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maesteg FC's Collen Hernon got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, MagnaFlow Team's goal looked a bit too open when Collen Hernon came free, but Tarrant Henley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Drystan Kinnavy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maesteg FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MagnaFlow Team the free kick. In the 84th minute, one of Maesteg FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maesteg FC. The referee gave MagnaFlow Team a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Arthur Austin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maesteg FC's Angawdd Hewitt. 1-4. Angawdd Hewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cerdic Deacon in the 90th minute of the match. Cadwaladr Kern's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tarrant Henley firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cadwaladr Kern struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Tarrant Henley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maesteg FC. If Collen Hernon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MagnaFlow Team supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maesteg FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Maesteg FC.
