An unexpectedly hard shot by Kynwal Dunn in the 14th minute of play forced Aberystwyth's goalkeeper Cadwallen Hillard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kynwal Dunn scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cadwallen Hillard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Garnock Hicks fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Flint's protests and gave Garnock Hicks a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes UWA Flint got a freekick which was hit by Garnock Hicks. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ffowc Gregson in the 23rd minute of play forced UWA Flint's goalkeeper Maddock Gough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kynwal Dunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kynwal Dunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kynlas Appleton's late challenge caught a UWA Flint's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maddock Gough didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aberystwyth. Aberystwyth's Cadwallen Hillard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Aberystwyth from getting a goal against them. Ffowc Gregson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maddock Gough having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, UWA Flint's goal looked a bit too open when Ffowc Gregson came free, but Maddock Gough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Kynwal Dunn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the UWA Flint and the Aberystwyth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, UWA Flint's Kynwal Dunn got a free kick in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Teregud Langworthy to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Kynwal Dunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UWA Flint's Maddock Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ffowc Gregson in the 85th minute of play. When Ffowc Gregson came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Aberystwyth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ffowc Gregson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Aberystwyth's zone, Teregud Langworthy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cadwallen Hillard came out of the goal and Teregud Langworthy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ffowc Gregson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Maddock Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maddock Gough showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwevyl Black, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. UWA Flint were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Aberystwyth for a fine match.
