Gwern Conant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Broderick Spurrer's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. When Peredur Lunshekaun came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Port Talbot FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peredur Lunshekaun couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Port Talbot FC's goalkeeper Teryrnon Knox, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Barri Haugh fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Port Talbot FC's protests and gave Barri Haugh a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Barri Haugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
