The UWA Cardigan fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when UWA Cardigan's Timotheus Henderson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Garselid Kavanagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amaethon Brien having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Irvin Ikin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13thth minute of the game Deiniol Loane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UWA Cardigan's Amaethon Brien was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Kian Finlay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amaethon Brien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garselid Kavanagh in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, UWA Cardigan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irvin Ikin to maneuver through the defense. Deiniol Loane might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amaethon Brien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deiniol Loane ran back to his position shaking his head. Amaethon Brien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deiniol Loane, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th match minute, UWA Cardigan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sulyen Large to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Garselid Kavanagh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UWA Cardigan's Amaethon Brien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deiniol Loane in the 44th minute of play. Kian Finlay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Gwern Conant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kian Finlay was the one to do the kick off. Amaethon Brien made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deiniol Loane in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timotheus Henderson in the 57th minute of play forced UWA Maesteg's goalkeeper Gwern Conant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, UWA Cardigan's Drych Feltner got a free kick in the 59th minute. A hard shot by Cubert Wright from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Amaethon Brien's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Deiniol Loane managed to get in a good position for a shot. UWA Maesteg's supporters rose to their feet, but Deiniol Loane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amaethon Brien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Kian Finlay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwern Conant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, UWA Maesteg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garselid Kavanagh to maneuver through the defense. Deiniol Loane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Amaethon Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Garselid Kavanagh came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the UWA Maesteg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garselid Kavanagh couldn't finish the play. Gwern Conant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timotheus Henderson, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. UWA Cardigan's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
