Spectators: 6782 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Oswallt Cox made the kick off which started today's match. Porthcawl's Griffin Haddon got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Rhonnda's zone, Rhys Howell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siarl Ellen came out of the goal and Rhys Howell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 9th minute, Rhys Howell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Garwyli Bennington fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rhonnda's protests and gave Garwyli Bennington a yellow card for diving instead. Garwyli Bennington kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Rhonnda's goal looked a bit too open when Griffin Haddon came free, but Siarl Ellen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Griffin Haddon in the 11th minute of play forced Rhonnda's goalkeeper Siarl Ellen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Rhys Howell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rhonnda's Siarl Ellen. Siarl Ellen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rhonnda's Avagdu Kidd got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Oswallt Cox elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Garwyli Bennington hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Rhys Howell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Rhonnda got a freekick which was hit by Vaddon Hockley. Rhys Howell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Griffin Haddon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Siarl Ellen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rhys Howell made a kick off. When Vaddon Hockley came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Rhonnda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vaddon Hockley couldn't finish the play. Rhonnda's Siarl Ellen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Howell in the 59th minute of play. Griffin Haddon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siarl Ellen having to interfere. Porthcawl's Kevyn Boucher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswallt Cox in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Porthcawl was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prys Kavanaugh to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Rhonnda's Oswallt Cox nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevyn Boucher made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Porthcawl getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Melkin Fry hit a great ball. The supporters of Porthcawl booed when Rhonnda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garwyli Bennington didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geraint Keaty, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vaddon Hockley during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Rhonnda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vaddon Hockley to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the game, Prys Kavanaugh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Porthcawl's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rhonnda the free kick. The supporters of Rhonnda booed when Porthcawl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prys Kavanaugh didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Griffin Haddon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Griffin Haddon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Siarl Ellen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rhys Howell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siarl Ellen having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
