Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Powell Lamb in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevyn Boucher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rhys Howell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Prys Kavanaugh charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Prys Kavanaugh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Baudwin Canada sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Porthcawl's Kevyn Boucher didn't even have to move. Rhys Howell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gobrwy Buckman having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Rhys Howell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porthcawl fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Griffin Haddon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevyn Boucher made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Drystan Finnegan sent off a good shot on target. Drystan Finnegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Kevyn Boucher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Powell Lamb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gobrwy Buckman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Griffin Haddon in the 60th minute. After a rather tough play, Porthcawl's Rhys Howell got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Powell Lamb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skewen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Powell Lamb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th match minute, Skewen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cadfan Gaughan to maneuver through the defense. Kevyn Boucher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Powell Lamb in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melkin Fry during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Porthcawl getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Melkin Fry hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Drystan Finnegan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevyn Boucher was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gobrwy Buckman made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Griffin Haddon sent off a good shot on target. Griffin Haddon in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gobrwy Buckman, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Porthcawl's zone, Drystan Finnegan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevyn Boucher came out of the goal and Drystan Finnegan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Powell Lamb struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Kevyn Boucher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skewen. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
