The referee showed Rhun Cleary the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mabsant Floyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Guinglain Herrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nerth Cain's late challenge caught a UWA Prestatyn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nerth Cain helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of UWA Prestatyn booed when UWA Newtown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nerth Cain didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, UWA Prestatyn's Pwyll Bonds shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guinglain Herrington came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Prestatyn reached it. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Newtown's zone, Mabsant Floyd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guinglain Herrington came out of the goal and Mabsant Floyd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gwyglet Snobscat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhun Cleary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maelwys Kemple having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in UWA Prestatyn's zone, Gwyglet Snobscat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maelwys Kemple came out of the goal and Gwyglet Snobscat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rhun Cleary had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 minutes of play UWA Newtown's Nerth Cain was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mabsant Floyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guinglain Herrington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taliesin Wagoner, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Mabsant Floyd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taliesin Wagoner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Guinglain Herrington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The UWA Prestatyn fans' excitement grew in the 57th match minute when UWA Prestatyn's Taliesin Wagoner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Guinglain Herrington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taliesin Wagoner, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Taliesin Wagoner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Gowerr Cranston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guinglain Herrington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UWA Newtown's Guinglain Herrington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taliesin Wagoner in the 71st minute of play. In the 75th match minute, UWA Prestatyn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pwyll Bonds to maneuver through the defense. Mabsant Floyd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gwyglet Snobscat got free with Maelwys Kemple in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gwyglet Snobscat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maelwys Kemple having to make a save. Tarrant Keele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maelwys Kemple having to interfere. UWA Prestatyn's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
