Rhun Cleary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Llacheu Boren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gwyglet Snobscat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llacheu Boren having to interfere. In the 5th minute Rhun Cleary shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llacheu Boren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guinglain Herrington stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alwyn Boniface's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. After a rather tough play, UWA Haverfordwest's Drych Burt got a free kick in the 12th minute. Alwyn Boniface fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guinglain Herrington having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, UWA Newtown's goal looked a bit too open when Bors Folds came free, but Guinglain Herrington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwyglet Snobscat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Llacheu Boren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhun Cleary in the 25th minute of play. Guinglain Herrington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alwyn Boniface in the 35th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Rhun Cleary managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Newtown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhun Cleary was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rhun Cleary in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Llacheu Boren saved UWA Haverfordwest from getting behind. Rhun Cleary's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Llacheu Boren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rhun Cleary made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Bors Folds kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guinglain Herrington. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. A hard shot 57 in the game by Alwyn Boniface from a close distance when the talented Guinglain Herrington managed to make a qualified save. UWA Newtown's players were relieved. If Gwyglet Snobscat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Alwyn Boniface had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Guinglain Herrington. UWA Newtown's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alwyn Boniface was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Guinglain Herrington was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Bors Folds capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bors Folds really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Alwyn Boniface's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guinglain Herrington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Bors Folds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UWA Newtown booed when UWA Haverfordwest was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cerdic Forbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Rhun Cleary got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 83 played minutes UWA Newtown got a freekick which was hit by Kynwal Durling. When Bors Folds came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the UWA Haverfordwest fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bors Folds couldn't finish the play. Rhun Cleary fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llacheu Boren having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UWA Haverfordwest eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
