When Tudur Lamphier came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Treorchy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tudur Lamphier couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cynan Caine in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siarl Cohen saved Treorchy from getting behind. Cynan Caine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Ifor Cain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Siarl Cohen. Treorchy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ifor Cain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Siarl Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ifor Cain in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Kynon Fairbanks fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ifor Cain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siarl Cohen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. When Tarrant Frisby fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Llanberis's protests and gave Tarrant Frisby a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, UWA Llanberis's Tarrant Frisby got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Treorchy's Gruffen Flannery broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kynon Fairbanks was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, UWA Llanberis's goal looked a bit too open when Kynon Fairbanks came free, but Neb Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Treorchy's Siarl Cohen got control of the ball when Ifor Cain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Treorchy's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cynan Caine 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Siarl Cohen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cynan Caine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Digon Hodson came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Treorchy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Digon Hodson couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, Lionel Bowles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UWA Llanberis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Treorchy the free kick. In the 68th minute, Lionel Bowles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Mael Findley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes, Treorchy's Gruffen Flannery shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Neb Day came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Cynan Caine who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Treorchy's Siarl Cohen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Cynan Caine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ifor Cain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siarl Cohen having to interfere. Kynon Fairbanks charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kynon Fairbanks the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 82 played minutes Treorchy got a freekick which was hit by Kynon Fairbanks. Tudur Lamphier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neb Day having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Treorchy's zone, Ifor Cain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Siarl Cohen came out of the goal and Ifor Cain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UWA Llanberis's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
