Porthcawl Utd's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Wrexham FC:s Cadeyrn Pattern showed great skill when he stopped Drystan Bowden:s penalty. In the 24th minute of the game, Garselid Cohen landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Melkin Hurlburt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 32 minutes, Melkin Hurlburt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wrexham FC and the Porthcawl Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 played minutes Wrexham FC got a freekick which was hit by Melkin Hurlburt. In the 33rd minute, Yale Lamph got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Yale Lamph came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Porthcawl Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yale Lamph couldn't finish the play. If Yale Lamph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Wrexham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Lumpp came free, but Cadeyrn Pattern reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melkin Hurlburt was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melkin Hurlburt in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Llwydeu Jay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd match minute, Porthcawl Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Drystan Bowden to maneuver through the defense. Rhodri Hastings was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 63rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rhobert Griffin hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Llwydeu Jay acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 68th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rhodri Hastings. Melkin Hurlburt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 72 played minutes Porthcawl Utd got a freekick which was hit by Drystan Bowden. 74 minutes into the match, Porthcawl Utd's goalkeeper Llwydeu Jay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siencyn Booth. If Yale Lamph had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Yale Lamph came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Porthcawl Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yale Lamph couldn't finish the play. Llwydeu Jay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melkin Hurlburt in the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Porthcawl Utd booed when Wrexham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rhodri Hastings didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Porthcawl Utd were awarded a corner. Drystan Bowden went to the cornerflag to take it. Yale Lamph fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadeyrn Pattern having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
