After a rather tough play, Wrexham FC's Rhobert Griffin got a free kick in the 11th minute. Wrexham FC's Cadeyrn Pattern played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhun Barnett in the 13th minute of play. Rhun Barnett struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Cadeyrn Pattern didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UWA Aberystwyth. After 20 played minutes, UWA Aberystwyth's Ysgawyn Ferriter shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cadeyrn Pattern came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UWA Aberystwyth reached it. Siencyn Booth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Wrexham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rhun Barnett came free, but Cadeyrn Pattern reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nynnyaw Linkletter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadeyrn Pattern breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edern Gaughan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melkin Hurlburt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wrexham FC's Siencyn Booth got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Siencyn Booth's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edern Gaughan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Wrexham FC were awarded a corner. Rhodri Hastings went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Rhodri Hastings got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edern Gaughan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rhun Barnett took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cadeyrn Pattern. Cadeyrn Pattern dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melkin Hurlburt was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute of the match Rhodri Hastings shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edern Gaughan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edern Gaughan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siencyn Booth in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to UWA Aberystwyth getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Granwen Goff hit a great ball. After 57 minutes of play, Wrexham FC's Siencyn Booth made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edern Gaughan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of UWA Aberystwyth booed when Wrexham FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cadellin Dowdall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melkin Hurlburt scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edern Gaughan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 68th match minute, Wrexham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cadellin Dowdall to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match, Nynnyaw Linkletter tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cadeyrn Pattern saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Siencyn Booth struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Edern Gaughan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wrexham FC. In the 76th minute Melkin Hurlburt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edern Gaughan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 80 minutes, Siencyn Booth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wrexham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siencyn Booth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rhodri Hastings walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Nynnyaw Linkletter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cadeyrn Pattern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th play minute Rhun Barnett came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cadeyrn Pattern. 2-2.
