Berwyn Lynn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rhyawdd Bowen in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, Bangor FC's goal looked a bit too open when 狄克霖 came free, but Mawrth Lea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, FC Rhyl Youth's 狄克霖 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mawrth Lea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 狄克霖's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mawrth Lea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Bangor FC's Mawrth Lea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garwyli Dowthwaite in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bangor FC's Rhyawdd Bowen got a free kick in the 15th minute. Mawrth Lea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 狄克霖, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 狄克霖 in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mawrth Lea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 狄克霖 took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mawrth Lea. Mawrth Lea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 41st minute, Cain Graves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Rhyl Youth fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 46th minute, Dyvyr Cock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half FC Rhyl Youth were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the FC Rhyl Youth defense, Rhyawdd Bowen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berwyn Lynn. The FC Rhyl Youth fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berwyn Lynn should have stopped the shot. Bangor FC's Mawrth Lea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garwyli Dowthwaite in the 60th minute of play. Cain Graves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mawrth Lea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, 狄克霖 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If 狄克霖 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when 狄克霖 got free with Mawrth Lea in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 70th minute, Iestyn Ashbrook hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 played minutes FC Rhyl Youth got a freekick which was hit by Gleis Hick. 74 minutes into the match, Bangor FC's Conwy Hakes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. FC Rhyl Youth's 狄克霖 got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berwyn Lynn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rhyawdd Bowen, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute Gwallawg Convery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berwyn Lynn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bangor FC's Mawrth Lea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Bangor FC from getting a goal against them. 狄克霖 struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Mawrth Lea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Rhyl Youth. After a defensive mix-up in Bangor FC's zone, 狄克霖 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mawrth Lea came out of the goal and 狄克霖 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Rhyl Youth's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
