An unexpectedly hard shot by Arglwydd Culpepper in the 5th minute of play forced Presteigne Utd's goalkeeper Tringad England to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, Presteigne Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maddox French to maneuver through the defense. Arglwydd Culpepper scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tringad England, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bedwyr Herring's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ffodor Kennedy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Clonernagh United's Ffodor Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Clonernagh United from getting a goal against them. Tringad England showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arglwydd Culpepper, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Arglwydd Culpepper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clonernagh United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arglwydd Culpepper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Seith Hernon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Clonernagh United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cubert Boland to maneuver through the defense. Ffodor Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seith Hernon, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 23 played minutes Clonernagh United got a freekick which was hit by Gwitart Caine. Bedwyr Herrings short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Ffodor Kennedy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 26 in the game by Bedwyr Herring from a close distance when the talented Ffodor Kennedy managed to make a qualified save. Clonernagh United's players were relieved. In the 27th minute Seith Hernon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ffodor Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ieuan Lamerton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 32 minutes, Seith Hernon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Presteigne Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seith Hernon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Presteigne Utd defense, Berth Caldwell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tringad England. The Presteigne Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tringad England should have stopped the shot. Berth Caldwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Seith Hernon made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Presteigne Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ieuan Lamerton to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Presteigne Utd's goalkeeper Tringad England had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arglwydd Culpepper. Berth Caldwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arglwydd Culpepper might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tringad England. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arglwydd Culpepper ran back to his position shaking his head. Avagdu Grubb hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After having played for 68 minutes, Bedwyr Herring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Presteigne Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bedwyr Herring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute, Presteigne Utd's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arglwydd Culpepper fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Presteigne Utd's Gethin Kilduff got a free kick in the 71st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berth Caldwell in the 73rd minute of play forced Presteigne Utd's goalkeeper Tringad England to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 minutes, Cubert Boland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clonernagh United and the Presteigne Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bedwyr Herring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the game, Berth Caldwell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tringad England. Berth Caldwell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Tringad England showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berth Caldwell in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Seith Hernon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ffodor Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arglwydd Culpepper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Tringad England made a huge save. The Clonernagh United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Clonernagh United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
