Spectators: 6857 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 0) Barry's Calcas Lake started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 2 minutes, Calcas Lake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calcas Lake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Calcas Lake's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nerth Gately was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Barry were furious when Keith Love was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 5 minutes into the game, one of Barry:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Addolgar Gabriel, was totally fooled by Barry Utd's Nentres Deanly, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 11th match minute, Barry Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ector Hartley to maneuver through the defense. Ceithin Bonner might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nerth Gately. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ceithin Bonner ran back to his position shaking his head. Barry's Addolgar Gabriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davis Connell in the 16th minute of play. Nerth Gately showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceithin Bonner, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute Davis Connell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Addolgar Gabriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barry Utd's zone, Ceithin Bonner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nerth Gately came out of the goal and Ceithin Bonner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ceithin Bonner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nerth Gately showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perceval Hayhurst, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Barry Utd's Davis Connell got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute, Ceithin Bonner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ceithin Bonner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nerth Gately having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Ceithin Bonner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceithin Bonner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceithin Bonner blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nerth Gately having to make a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Ector Hartley took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Addolgar Gabriel. Barry's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cerwyn Drayman during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rdth minute of the game Perceval Hayhurst who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barry Utd's Nerth Gately was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ceithin Bonner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nerth Gately took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perceval Hayhurst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Barry booed when Barry Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ector Hartley didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Barry's Ceithin Bonner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nerth Gately. That made the score 1-2 after 76 minutes of play. After 82 played minutes Barry Utd got a freekick which was hit by Ector Hartley. Ceithin Bonner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Nerth Gately tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Perceval Hayhurst fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 88th minute, Cadarn Frost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute of the match Calcas Lake sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nerth Gately skillfully saved the ball. The Barry fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Barry's Ceithin Bonner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Barry left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Barry Utd.
