Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Drystan Barton took the kick off in the first half of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Drystan Barton dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cadeyrn Fox, 1-0. When Amren Evans fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UWA Aberystwyth's protests and gave Amren Evans a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kenfig Hill Crimson booed when UWA Aberystwyth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amren Evans didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nerth Connolly got free with Cadeyrn Fox in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aeddan Lavender made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calcas Hayhurst in the 28th minute of play. Cairn Bunch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Kent Waterman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led to UWA Aberystwyth's Kai Goodman getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kenfig Hill Crimson's goalkeeper Cadeyrn Fox, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nerth Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadeyrn Fox having to interfere. Drystan Barton might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cadeyrn Fox. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Drystan Barton ran back to his position shaking his head. Nerth Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadeyrn Fox having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute Calcas Hayhurst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aeddan Lavender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aeddan Lavender made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cairn Bunch in the 53rd minute. If Kent Waterman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nerth Connolly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadeyrn Fox having to interfere. Amren Evans got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nerth Connolly in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cadeyrn Fox prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Anwir Ganly fired a really elegant long shot, but Aeddan Lavender threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Drystan Barton charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Drystan Barton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Drystan Barton hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Aeddan Lavender successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Drystan Barton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadeyrn Fox having to interfere. UWA Aberystwyth were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Kenfig Hill Crimson for a fine match.
