The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calder Dell during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxen Death received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Duach Gaoler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calder Dell to make the kick off. If Calder Dell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caerleon Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maxen Death was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After some careless play in the Caerleon Utd defense, Maxen Death kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duach Gaoler. The Caerleon Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duach Gaoler should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Jestin Gamble was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Penarth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caerleon Utd the free kick. Duach Gaoler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxen Death, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Calder Dell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Penarth FC's zone, Sinnoch Graham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andras Arnold came out of the goal and Sinnoch Graham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Caerleon Utd players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Penarth FC.
