It was a well-played corner which Gwres Lake managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gruffen Grinham in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pawl Bussey saved Barry from getting behind. Pawl Bussey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lot Loane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garym Lardner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rhyawdd Lloyd went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Gruffen Grinham put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pawl Bussey. Pawl Bussey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aedd Huckaby in the 23rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Gruffen Grinham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cardiff's supporters rose to their feet, but Gruffen Grinham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pawl Bussey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute, Gruffen Grinham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 27th minute, Nodens Jordan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Cardiff fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Cardiff's Aedd Huckaby looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nodens Jordan in the 32nd minute of play forced Cardiff's goalkeeper Garym Lardner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Barry's goal looked a bit too open when Lot Loane came free, but Pawl Bussey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Cardiff's Gruffen Grinham sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pawl Bussey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lot Loane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pawl Bussey having to interfere. Rhyawdd Lloyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garym Lardner having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Cardiff's goal looked a bit too open when Nodens Jordan came free, but Garym Lardner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pawl Bussey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gruffen Grinham, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Cardiff's Geraint Charlton got a free kick in the 44th minute. The Barry players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cardiff were winning 2-3.

Rhyawdd Lloyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 minutes of play, Cardiff's Gruffen Grinham made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pawl Bussey was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute, Rhyawdd Lloyd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Garym Lardner was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. Barry's Pawl Bussey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lot Loane in the 67th minute of play. Gruffen Grinham's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pawl Bussey read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Garym Lardner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gormant Adrain, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Gruffen Grinham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cardiff fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. Gormant Adrain hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Pawl Bussey made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Gruffen Grinham sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Cardiff getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gruffen Grinham hit a great ball. Cardiff were furious when Evan Finn was red carded, 93 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 92 minutes into the game, one of Cardiff:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 99th minute Gwres Lake shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawl Bussey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Cardiff could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barry throughout the match.
