Gruffen Grinham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Angawdd Lunshekaun made a huge save. If Gruffen Grinham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 8 in the game by Gruffen Grinham from a close distance when the talented Angawdd Lunshekaun managed to make a qualified save. Rhyl FC's players were relieved. Lot Loane received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angawdd Lunshekaun came out and tried to block the shot, but Lot Loane slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Angawdd Lunshekaun stood somewhat misplaced when Gruffen Grinham came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 21 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gruffen Grinham got free with Angawdd Lunshekaun in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lot Loane in the 48th minute of play forced Rhyl FC's goalkeeper Angawdd Lunshekaun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Llwyd Flannery made a kick off. Cardiff's Geraint Charlton got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lot Loane blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angawdd Lunshekaun having to make a save. In the 93rd minute Lot Loane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angawdd Lunshekaun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angawdd Lunshekaun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gruffen Grinham in the 95th minute of the match. Cardiff walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
