Tarrant Crisp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Gethin England tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tor Edgell during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oswallt Ingram kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Tarrant Crisp in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Tarrant Crisp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gethin England having to make a save. Selyf Herring charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selyf Herring the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Selyf Herring kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Gethin England was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wadu Fowler. Cadwaladr Keller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sion Corbett, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Eryi Dempsey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Gormant Islip was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newtown Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Porthcawl FC the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Newtown Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gormant Islip to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eryi Dempsey in the 32nd minute of play forced Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Gethin England to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porthcawl FC's Eryi Dempsey got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Porthcawl FC's Eryi Dempsey in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newtown Utd's goalie prevented a goal. Cadwaladr Keller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beven Carr in the 42nd minute of the match. Taffy Kennett hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sion Corbett to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Beven Carr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newtown Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beven Carr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Newtown Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Tarrant Crisp came free, but Gethin England reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarrant Crisp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute of the match Taliesin Brewer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gethin England skillfully saved the ball. Gethin England made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eryi Dempsey in the 66th minute of play. Eryi Dempsey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gethin England having to interfere. Amlawdd Cobb kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Eryi Dempsey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gethin England was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gormant Islip hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Eryi Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Porthcawl FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Taliesin Brewer hit a great ball. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newtown Utd's goalkeeper Gethin England, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Eryi Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porthcawl FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
