After a rather tough play, Neath's Olwydd Kelly got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Waljan Gook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Neath's Cadfael Lea got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute, Selyf Bender got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Waljan Gook came free, but Llacheu Feltner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Albanwr Joiner suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 13 minutes into the game, Gleis Donnelly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Widnes Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Neath the free kick. In the 14th minute, Gleis Donnelly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match Gowerr Hyslop sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lot Biggs skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waljan Gook in the 19th minute of play forced Neath's goalkeeper Llacheu Feltner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Neath's zone, Gobrwy Gillman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llacheu Feltner came out of the goal and Gobrwy Gillman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Bowen Bratton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waljan Gook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llacheu Feltner having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Ector Finn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widnes Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Ector Finn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Llacheu Feltner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gobrwy Gillman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llacheu Feltner having to interfere. With his leg Llacheu Feltner managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Widnes Utd's Waljan Gook fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 45 in the game by Waljan Gook from a close distance when the talented Llacheu Feltner managed to make a qualified save. Neath's players were relieved.

A collision led to Neath getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Gildas Jagger hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waljan Gook in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Llacheu Feltner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waljan Gook in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Llacheu Feltner saved Neath from getting behind. Neath's Llacheu Feltner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waljan Gook in the 57th minute of play. Olwydd Kelly got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Olwydd Kelly hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Waljan Gook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Llacheu Feltner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Waljan Gook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gobrwy Gillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waljan Gook might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Llacheu Feltner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waljan Gook ran back to his position shaking his head. Llacheu Feltner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gobrwy Gillman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Neath's goalkeeper Llacheu Feltner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ector Finn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widnes Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Ector Finn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Llacheu Feltner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waljan Gook recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Waljan Gook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Llacheu Feltner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Neath's goal looked a bit too open when Gobrwy Gillman came free, but Llacheu Feltner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waljan Gook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Price Cheriton fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Widnes Utd's protests and gave Price Cheriton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Widnes Utd's Price Cheriton got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Waljan Gook came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Widnes Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waljan Gook couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Widnes Utd players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
