Wrexham's Bedwyr Husbandman got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cadwaladr Gale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Awstin Aykroyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Montgomery Utd getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gwyn Harley hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Awstin Aykroyd sped through Montgomery Utd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cadwaladr Gale. Bryn Knight could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Griffin Farrelly made a huge save. Bryn Knights short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Griffin Farrelly to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Awstin Aykroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Montgomery Utd defense, Awstin Aykroyd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cadwaladr Gale. The Montgomery Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cadwaladr Gale should have stopped the shot. Awstin Aykroyd took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cadwaladr Gale. Cadwaladr Gale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. A collision led to Montgomery Utd getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bryn Knight hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.

In the 64th match minute, Montgomery Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cadellin Leaper to maneuver through the defense. Awstin Aykroyd didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-7 via right post in the game's 66th minute. Wrexham's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After having played for 70 minutes, Awstin Aykroyd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wrexham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Awstin Aykroyd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wrexham's Griffin Farrelly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwyn Harley in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rdth minute of the game Awstin Aykroyd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montgomery Utd's Cadwaladr Gale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bedwyr Husbandman in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cadwaladr Gale saved Montgomery Utd from getting behind. Cadwaladr Gale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Awstin Aykroyd's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Cairn Jay received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cadwaladr Gale came out and tried to block the shot, but Cairn Jay slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 82nd minute. Awstin Aykroyd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cadwaladr Gale having to interfere. Bryn Knight charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bryn Knight the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Wrexham booed when Montgomery Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryn Knight didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Wrexham could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montgomery Utd throughout the match.
