Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Modred Farley started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Selyv Flanders got free with Ysgawyn Kavanagh in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Selyv Flanders in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ysgawyn Kavanagh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 6th minute, Modred Farley made a precise shot to the right of Mabon Keelan. Neath's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Neath booed when Ely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barris Foote didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rhett Berry fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neath's protests and gave Rhett Berry a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute of the game, Gwyglet Garth landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 14 minutes, Heilyn Holcomb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Neath and the Ely players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ely made a substitution. Ysberin Gough replaced Gwyglet Garth. Heilyn Holcomb kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Ceithin Eaton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mabon Keelan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Modred Farley struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Mabon Keelan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ely. Ceithin Eaton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mabon Keelan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Ely's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Selyv Flanders fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Neath getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Dirmyg Franklin hit a great ball. Ysgawyn Kavanagh was a little too slow when Rhett Berry got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-2. Selyv Flanders who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Ysgawyn Kavanagh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ely's Ysberin Gough got a free kick in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rhett Berry to make the kick off. Ysgawyn Kavanagh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rhett Berry, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Ceithin Eaton in the 59thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mabon Keelan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mabon Keelan was a little too slow when Modred Farley got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-4. Ysgawyn Kavanagh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rhett Berry went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Modred Farley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mabon Keelan came out and tried to block the shot, but Modred Farley slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 72nd minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Neath:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ely:s goal. In the 86th minute, Heilyn Holcomb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Neath getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Sayer Hitchcock hit a great ball. Gwalchmei Jarvis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Modred Farley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mabon Keelan. That made the score 2-7 in the 94 minute of play. Sayer Hitchcock's late challenge caught a Ely's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sayer Hitchcock helped the player get up and apologised. Ely's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
