Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gorsedd Eckles kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Yale Copeland came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Montgomery getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mabon Death hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Yale Copeland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cerwyn Jordan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nissyen Flynn in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Yale Copeland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cerwyn Jordan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Yale Copeland came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heulyn Gray in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Yale Copeland came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Gorsedd Eckles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alawn Ingoldsby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Knighton's Yale Copeland got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yale Copeland in the 25th minute of play forced Montgomery's goalkeeper Cerwyn Jordan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Montgomery defense, Yale Copeland kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cerwyn Jordan. The Montgomery fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cerwyn Jordan should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gorsedd Eckles during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Gorsedd Eckles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 36th minute, Yale Copeland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cerwyn Jordan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Montgomery's Bradwr Lavery got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Heulyn Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Heulyn Gray took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cerwyn Jordan. Cerwyn Jordan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After the first half Knighton were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yale Copeland to strike the kick off in the second half. Cerwyn Jordan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yale Copeland in the 54th minute of play. Ceithin Hoskins hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goalkeeper Cerwyn Jordan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nissyen Flynn. Heulyn Gray scored 1-6 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cerwyn Jordan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot 69 in the game by Nissyen Flynn from a close distance when the talented Cerwyn Jordan managed to make a qualified save. Montgomery's players were relieved. Cerwyn Jordan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heulyn Gray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nissyen Flynn kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gorsedd Eckles in the 76th minute of play forced Knighton's goalkeeper Alawn Ingoldsby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Montgomery's zone, Nissyen Flynn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cerwyn Jordan came out of the goal and Nissyen Flynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goal looked a bit too open when Heulyn Gray came free, but Cerwyn Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Montgomery's Cerwyn Jordan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarrant Kemp in the 80th minute of play. In the 84th minute of the match, Yale Copeland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cerwyn Jordan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 85th minute, Yale Copeland made a precise shot to the right of Cerwyn Jordan. Montgomery's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. 90 minutes into the match, Montgomery's goalkeeper Cerwyn Jordan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heulyn Gray. 92 minutes into the game, Knighton's Heulyn Gray nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cerwyn Jordan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. Nissyen Flynn was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes Knighton got a freekick which was hit by Nissyen Flynn. When the match was over Knighton could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montgomery throughout the match.
