The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gwalchmei Lynch during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Trelew Land got a freekick which was hit by Gwalchmei Lynch. In the 5th minute, Ysberin Head hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Emrys Crittall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan Lyons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merlin Godwin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Fercos Criddle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 24th match minute, Barry Athletic CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dywel Bowles to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Rhuvawn Bowles from long distance, 25 minutes into the match, got Fercos Criddle's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Merlin Godwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fercos Criddle made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Merlin Godwin sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Merlin Godwin notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Barry Athletic CF's Fercos Criddle. Fercos Criddle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cant Herbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Evan Lyons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Trelew Land got a freekick which was hit by Rhuvawn Bowles. Evan Lyons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emrys Crittall in the 43rd minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cant Herbert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Merlin Godwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cant Herbert in the 58th minute of play forced Trelew Land's goalkeeper Evan Lyons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evan Lyons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cant Herbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Barry Athletic CF booed when Trelew Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwalchmei Lynch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Merlin Godwin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fercos Criddle was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Fercos Criddle was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Merlin Godwin in the 88th minute of play forced Barry Athletic CF's goalkeeper Fercos Criddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Trelew Land were the better team. Trelew Land's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
